🌿 Lunar September 9th, Day of Shinmi (辛未)— A Day Between Firelight and Dew

 

Today marks the Day of Shinmi (辛未日) in the lunar calendar —
Eulsa Year, Byeongsul Month (乙巳年 丙戌月 辛未日).
The sky burns warm, yet the earth is damp with quiet moisture.
Sunlight fills the air, but within it lingers a trace of coolness.
This delicate contrast of temperatures is the essence of today.

 

This year’s heaven is marked by “Geumbulgeup” (金不及) —
a state where the energy of Fire overpowers that of Metal.
Under such heat, emotions rise quickly,
and even small sparks can turn into flames.
But the sky of September carries “Sutaegwa” (水太過) —
the chill of excess Water that cools the fire’s passion.
Thus, today’s sky holds both warmth and cold,

moist, heavy, and nurturing.
